Our mission

EX-ARTIS is a cultural association dedicated to supporting cultural expression, creative participation, artistic exchange, and community engagement. Through cultural activities, collaborative projects, and opportunities for public participation, the association seeks to encourage creativity, preserve cultural connections, and strengthen the role of culture in everyday community life.

Cultural life is not a luxury added to community life; it is one of the ways a community understands itself. Exhibitions in open landscapes, conversations after a presentation, a workshop that brings neighbours together — these are moments when people encounter one another through culture.

EX-ARTIS aims to make such moments possible and to keep them open to everyone who wishes to take part.

• Artists and creative practitioners living or working in Cyprus
• Residents who want to take part in cultural life close to home
• Visitors interested in the contemporary culture of the island
• Groups and institutions seeking cultural collaboration

Participation means more than attendance. Where possible, activities invite people to contribute, respond, or create. The association favours formats that are welcoming to newcomers and that respect the place in which they happen.
